Tour Of Omagh
Team IOM ladies rode the tour of Omagh this past weekend with some promising results.
The team was made up of Eleanor Davies, Ellen Barker, and Kate Priest.
Riding in the new set up with support from Conister Bank, Mac Group, and Ocean Motor World they had a strong appearance and also gained valuable experience to help progress the team.

Team IOM ladies rode the tour of Omagh this past weekend with some promising results.
The team was made up of Eleanor Davies, Ellen Barker, and Kate Priest.
Riding in the new set up with support from Conister Bank, Mac Group, and Ocean Motor World they had a strong appearance and also gained valuable experience to help progress the team.
Stage one, seen Eleanor grab an 11th place winning the bunch sprint with Ellen 15th, and Kate 22nd all coming home in the main field.
Day two was a short 2.4 mile TT in the morning with Kate sticking in a strong TT to finish 15th, Eleanor, 16th, and Ellen 19th.
Moving into the afternoon, the rain came down and winter returned with a bang with temperatures only 11 degrees and gale force winds.
What proved to be a very difficult stage with the conditions ended up with a decent result with Eleanor in 7th, Ellen 12th and Kate 25th.
Both Ellen and Eleanor finished in the front group with Kate a little way back in a group.
The last stage had the toughest stage of the race which caused huge damage throughout the field with riders all over the road. Ellen rode strongly to go away in a chase of 2 riders ending up 3rd on the stage after climbing very well up what was a brute of a climb of Gortin Glen.
Eleanor wasn't far back in a chase group finishing 7on the stage, again riding strongly in only her 2nd race off island this year.
Kate feeling a bit ill after yesterdays rough conditions dug deep to stay in the group right up to the last climb of the day and stayed with a group to finish well in her only stage race this year.
Overall Ellen was 2nd under 23, Eleanor 3rd under 23. Ellen 8th on GC, Eleanor 9th, and Kate 26th.
It was a pleasure working with such a great team, and long may we develop what we've started to give our Ladies a solid platform to work with in future.
