I bring to the table 15 years of dedicated experience in the world of sports coaching, along with over 30 years racing experience which includes time as a professional cyclist. With a robust background in coaching athletes which includes world tour riders as well as leading teams at prestigious events like the Commonwealth Games, I've also had the privilege of working within the high-octane realm of MotoGP.

My coaching services encompass a diverse range, catering to beginners, Sportive riders, seasoned professional athletes, and individuals of all skill levels who fall in between. I use the latest practices in this plan using metabolic profiling rather than the go to FTP test protocol. This ensures you can train toward your desired outcome using data driven measures rather than using pre defined measures such as the standard FTP method.

Your journey will be closely monitored, and we'll consistently evaluate your training to ensure you're on the right track. This plan is dynamic, addressing your strengths and weaknesses with the flexibility to adapt as needed, all to unlock your full potential.

While ideally suited for those training with a power meter, it's not an absolute necessity. What matters most is your commitment and dedication to achieving greatness.

This training program is ideally suited for those who are starting out, never used structure, requires less feedback and support, or maybe a mixture of all. It's an excellent way to understand how a coaching plan works while providing structure and support.

Your training plan will be carefully crafted to fit your unique lifestyle and commitments. We understand that life can be unpredictable, as such the plan will be structure to fit that model.

Your progress matters to me. I'll regularly check your TrainingPeaks log and files to ensure you're staying on the right track. I encourage you to leave comments within TrainingPeaks, providing insights into your progress, allowing me to better understand how you're advancing.

My approach encompasses various sports, including cycling, triathlon, and the various aspects within both. Regardless of your current ability, I'm here to support and guide you every step of the way.

WUP Athlete Community Plan

A new type of plan for those looking for a 3 month fixed plan, but also customised to the individual. Unlike many fixed plans this is created just for you with an informed questionnaire used to create your ideal which works around your lifestyle and time restraints.
Why 3 months? For me, I feel if you stick to something for at least 3 months, you start to create a healthy routine and slowly adapt the lifestyle to work with it. Positive long term progression rather than a fast fix approach.

Human Performance Coaching



Coaching is far more than just the technical aspect, if you require the missing piece of the puzzle to allow the technical side to work then think mindset.

Perhaps you work with a technical coach, but struggle with the mental focus or anxiousness within your sport. This is the area that can connect those two parts for you and really see huge gains in performance.

A big part of coaching, which is often neglected is the mindset, physical training is one thing, but how do we cope with the debilitating mental blocks we can put upon ourselves?

The proactive process of tackling the mindset and strengthening this aspect builds a much more rounded athlete as well as person in general.

Do you suffer with pre event nerves or anxiety, but don't know how to work with it? Together working through the process of change, we can help to get you into a more confident self aware state.

Sessions


Our sessions range from 1 to 3 hours for a single day to multiple days, depending on your desired outcome. Despite our focus being primarily on sports coaching, personal issues like work or relationship stress can highly benefit from performance coaching.
With positivity, success and happiness being a significant goal for many, it is important to know and understand how we can get there. Whether you’re a professional athlete or an individual who is looking to alter their mindset and produce a more positive outlook, performance coaching could be just for you. While we have the power to create and accomplish anything we desire, coaching gives us the necessary tools to achieve just that.

One to One Tuition

One to one rides can be arranged, perfect for anyone who likes to have that personal touch to go through techniques and skills which are much easier to do out in the riding environment.
Perhaps you have a sportive or Fondo coming up, and would like to ride a section of the course, we can certainly do that and go through how to best conserve energy in areas, also learn the technique of pacing on some of the more daunting hills.
